Spread across over 22,000 sq m, the property features 103 guest rooms and villas
Dubai hotel operator Jumeirah has opened a new luxury desert resort in Abu Dhabi featuring 103 guest rooms and villas.
Spread across over 22,000 sq m, the Al Wathba desert resort and spa features villas with private pools, Arabian-style rooms and a 1,000 sqm pool that stretches out into the desert and expands into secluded inlets and coves, including a pool bar with in-water seating.
Located 40-minutes from Abu Dhabi downtown, the Arabian-style property includes water features and pools inspired by the natural falaj (water channel for irrigation) as well as traditional courtyards and areas around the village square.
In terms of F&B, the property has six dining units including Al Mabeet, a desert dining experience, Panache – offering poolside dining, and Arabian, Italian and Mediterranean options.
The destination Talise Spa offers 13 luxury treatment rooms and private terraces. Treatments include Turkish Hammams, snow caves, hot and cold plunge pools and crystal salt and cryo therapy rooms. There is also a dedicated yoga platform.
For adventure seekers, the resort offers fat biking at the dunes, desert treks, falcon shows every evening, archery and destination dining experiences.
Additional amenities include a kids’ club, conference and meeting facilities.
José Silva, CEO, Jumeirah Group, said: “It’s important for us to have a portfolio in the UAE’s capital Abu Dhabi that reflects the true essence of the destination. The Resort joins two existing hotels – Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort and Jumeirah at Etihad Towers – both in prime locations.”
The opening offer includes 20 per cent off on room rate, F&B and spa. Rates begin from Dhs1400 onwards for bed and breakfast.
