Ras Al Khaimah’s new Insta-worthy sunset café

Puro Café and Terrace has just opened as the emirate’s first rooftop sunset lounge

It seems like every other week there’s another reason to visit Ras Al Khaimah – and this week it’s the launch of the emirate’s first rooftop lounge (perfect for those who find its record-breaking zip line is a bit too exciting). Called Puro Café & Terrace (00971-7-244 5018, puro.ae), the new destination on Al Marjan Island is well situated for laid-back sunset drinks and nibbles.

Serving Mediterranean-fusion cuisine and a specially created sundowner drinks menu by executive chef Rosario Accaria, guests can tuck into dishes such as a focaccia caprese panini, fresh fettuccini with wagyu bolognese and pannacotta. The Med vibe is threaded throughout the terrace with a minimalistic look that’s flooded with natural light and decorated with olive trees.

The contemporary setting along the coastline offers a front-row seat to the Arabian Gulf’s brilliant sunsets. Have your cameras at the ready to snap the perfect shot.
