Spreading Joy: Dukes Dubai celebrate with underprivileged kids from Red Crescent
While most of us are fortunate enough to be celebrating Christmas with our loved ones at the comfort of our homes or with a lovely meal at the finest dining spots, there are several who are struggling to get by. Beyond annual traditions and festivities, the holiday season presents us with an opportunity to give back and spread joy to those around us.
Dukes Dubai did no less as they engaged in celebration with twenty underprivileged kids, who joined them from Emirates Red Crescent for an afternoon of fun. On 12th December, these wonderful kids, who are supported by the charity, were invited by the 5-star family leisure hotel for a Christmas Tree lighting ceremony along with Santa Claus in their lobby. Dukes Dubai’s very own Chef Clive joined the kids as they decorated Christmas Cookies as well.
Standing 17 million strong, the Red Crescent movement enables projects that seeks to establish respect for all human beings, protect life and prevent suffering. Through an act as simple as brightening those kids’ day, Dukes Dubai resonated with the values that this movement seeks to amplify.
Tristan de la Porte du Theil, their General Manager, hopes for this to be the beginning of a long relationship with Red Crescent. Through similar opportunities, they seek to give back and expand their scope of work in the New Year. Initiatives like these puts a whole new light on social responsibility and creates a more intimate platform where values of love and kindness can be shared.
