THE MOUNTAINS OF RAS AL KHAIMAH
The UAE’s tallest peak will transform into a concert venue 1600 metres above sea level for one night only, on October 27 2017. The show will combine the compositions of legendary violinist Antonio Vivaldi with complex 3D visual effects and light shows illuminating Jebel Jais. A specially constructed stage will bear the weight of an entire orchestra, which will play both classical and art-rock pieces, including masterpieces such as The Four Seasons. A cast of world-renowned musicians will be accompanied by complex imagery and choreography, making for a show that will combine the old and the new.

Composer Dvořák explains: “We’re retaining the original score while adding modern instruments the way Antonio himself might have included them.”
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, is being organised by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA).
“We strive to push the boundaries in our efforts to enhance Ras Al Khaimah’s visitor experience,” says Haitham Mattar, CEO of RAKTDA, “and this latest event is not only a first for the UAE, it will also provide genuine sensory overload at one of the emirate’s most iconic landmarks.”
